Bitola is already seriously placed on the map of start-up centers, so with this call we expect an even larger number of applicants who will develop their innovative start-up ideas with the help of our mentoring and training program in the next few months, and the most successful will be supported with a grant in the form of financial support for their start, said Lidija Angelkova – coordinator of the program for support of start-up companies in PREDA Plus Foundation in Bitola.

The call was open to all those who have innovative ideas and want to turn them into a business, but lack certain knowledge and support to reach the goal. The fourth start-up program will include top mentors and trainers who are eminent professionals from the Macedonian start-up ecosystem, and the selected ideas will receive financial support to start their businesses.

The program “It can be done from Bitola too” led by Preda Plus Foundation is realized within the Bitola start-up, as part of the Local Employment Partnership (LEP) Bitola, funded through Strengthening social dialogue, project implemented by the International labor organization and funded by the European Union.

– The goal of the Local Employment Partnership within this project was to create opportunities for opening new jobs and improving employment in the Pelagonija region, explained the Bitola Start-up Center.

The project is based on a holistic approach to improving entrepreneurial capacity, though providing a center where potential start-ups can meet and exchange information and ideas and through a training and mentoring program, which guides entrepreneurs through the overall process of developing a business idea, creating strategies and plans, and their promotion. The autumn cycle of the program showed us that despite the crisis caused by Covid-19 and the fears and uncertainty it imposed, the people of Bitola are creative and brave and offered a number of ideas that have the potential to grow into successful businesses.

-The story goes on, we are facing a new cycle of training and mentoring. Expectations are high, given the previous results. Therefore, I encourage and encourage young people and the unemployed to apply for the program, because there are no bad ideas. As Walt Disney said, All our dreams can come true, only if we have the courage to follow them– said Natasha Mechkaroska Simjanoska, project coordinator of the International Labor Organization.

The most innovative ideas that have the potential for development and those that will have the option of employability will be selected for participation in the program, and for the selected participants, the startup program starts on March 1, 2021 with a joint introductory session.
